With the latest release of Android v4.3 every Android user now eagerly waiting for their firmware update. Google has began to roll out the latest firmware update for Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 10. The LG Nexus 4 soon will get the update. But if you are eager to get the update then you can update the firmware manually by yourself. Checkout how to do it and follow the procedures.
Requirements
There are various requirements before you carry on to your update. Please follows these requirements before taking any step.
- Make the backup of your all data and settings in your phone
- Make sure that the battery level is at least 50 percent
- Also enable the USB Debugging Mode. To enable it follow Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging
- Download the Android v4.3 Firmware to your system from any trusted site
- Also download and install the ROM Manager in your smartphone
Installing Process
Now you have to follow these steps to install the latest firmware in your smartphone. We are again reminding you to make back up of your stuff and settings in your smartphone.
- Connect your Nexus 4 to your computer using a USB Cable.
- Copy and paste the Android v4.3 you have downloaded to your smartphone
- Now disconnect the phone and enter into Recovery mode from ROM manager you installed
- In your recovery mode, go and select "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe catch partition". Also select "advanced > clear Dalvik cache"
- Now go back to your main menu and select "install from SD card > choose zip from SD card". Select the firmware you downloaded in your phone.
- Wait for the installation progress to complete. It will take few minutes so be patient.
- After the installation completed, go to back to your main menu and select "reboot your system now".
In case of any of any failure or fault in the process press and hold the power key to switch off the device and then switch your device on again.
